Carlisle, PA : One dead after crash in North Middleton Township Friday morning on Friday, March 31st 2017
Emergency crews responded to a fatal crash in North Middleton Township early Friday morning.
North Middleton Township Police said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. along the 1300 block of Waggoners Gap Road in the township when a vehicle ran off the road into parked cars in a driveway and then caught on fire.
The driver was unable to be identified because of the fire, according to Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall.
Hall said a check of dental records would be required to identify the driver because of the extent of injuries.
Waggoners gap Road was closed for about 2 hours, according to police.
Fire crews from North Middleton Township, Carlisle Fire and Rescue and Union Fire Company, along with Cumberland Goodwill EMS also responded to the scene, police said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
