Goshen, IN : Man injured after a car crash on S.R. 19 in Elkhart County on Saturday evening, July 16, 2016

A Goshen man was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries he sustained after a car crash Saturday evening.

The 53-year-old man was traveling southbound on S.R. 19, just north of C.R. 36, in an SUV when the vehicle ran off the roadway and flipped several times around 7:30 p.m., the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department said in a press release. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The man suffered from head and pelvic injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend by MedFlight.
