A 21-year-old Greenville man died late Monday following a two-vehicle wreck that snarled traffic on East 10th Street.
Roney Wesley Allen was the driver of a Nissan 350Z that crossed the center lane about 7 p.m. and collided with a westbound Ford F-150 truck. Allen was transported to Vidant Medical Center, where he later died, according to Greenville police.
The passenger in the Nissan, 21-year-old Gabrielle Alexander of High Point, and the driver of the truck, 52-year-old Katherine Rose of Wilmington, both suffered minor injuries, police said. They were treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.
Both vehicles were seized for further inspection. No charges have been filed at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
