One person died and five others were injured in a crash Saturday in Aiken County. It happened just after noon on US 278 near Atomic Road. Troopers say the driver of an SUV tried to pass a car, and struck another car head-on. One person died. The driver of the SUV and his four passengers were injured. Charges are pending, troopers say.
