Nashville, TN : Car crashes into church in Antioch on Monday morning, November 21, 2016

Church leaders are making calls to board up after a car ran into the side of a building.

The driver of the car said she was side-swiped by another driver on Monday morning. She and her young daughter were in the car when it spun out of control.

Metro police said the collision caused one car to spin through the grass and into Edmondson Chapel Church on Hickory Hollow Parkway.

Tanice Jones, the driver of the car, said she and her child were able to climb out safely.

"It's amazing that we walked away with no scratches, and I'm just thankful for that. As long as my daughter's OK, that's all that matters to me right now," Jones said.

Police said no one was seriously injured in the incident.

Church leaders said they are working with their insurance company to cover the cost of the repairs. They say their doors will be open for church services on Sunday.
