Wales Center, NY : Man, 7-year-old grandson killed when tractor flips while doing yardwork on Sunday morning, May 3, 2015

Authorities say a man and his 7-year-old grandson are dead after the tractor they were riding flipped over in upstate New York.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says it happened Sunday morning in Wales while 56-year-old John Rutkowski was trying to pull a small tree out of the ground with a chain. Capt. Ronald Kenyon says the tractor overturned and pinned both underneath it.

Rutkowski was pronounced dead at the scene. His grandson, Odin Lucas, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Kenyon says Odin was visiting his grandparents from his home in Cheektowaga. Kenyon says it's an "unspeakable, immense tragedy."
