Albany,NY : Man found guilty in hit-and-run crash that killed veteran on December, Wednesday 20th 2017
An upstate New York man has been found guilty in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 57-year-old member of the National Guard.
A jury on Wednesday found 34-year-old Brian Tromans guilty in the hit-and-run death of National Guard Master Sgt. Rudolph Seabron. The Albany man had been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash without reporting it and tampering with physical evidence.
Prosecutors say Tromans struck Seabron in Colonie (kah-luh-NEE’) the morning of Jan. 8 as the guardsman was walking back to his barracks. Police say Seabron’s body landed in the middle of the vehicle’s hood.
Tromans had maintained he thought he struck a deer.
Seabron joined the New York Army National Guard following tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
Tromans faces up to seven years in prison when he’s sentenced in February.
