Claypool, IN : Warsaw man killed, 4 injured in collision in Kosciusko on Friday, June 17, 2016
Police in Kosciusko County are investigating a two-vehicle crash near Claypool in which a Warsaw man was killed.
About 8:52 a.m. Friday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and emergency personnel responded to a crash at County Farm Road and County Road 600 South.
Upon arrival, EMS workers and firefighters extracted three passengers from a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice that had received extensive driver’s side damage.
The driver of the Caprice, 22-year-old Reuben Delion was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma.
A preliminary investigation into the crash found that Delion was westbound on County Road 600 South. Delion approached and stopped at the intersection with County Farm Road, but suddenly proceeded into the path of a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 18-year-old Nathan Denna, who was taken to a hospital in fair condition with chest pains.
The other passengers in the Caprice, Brady Shepard, 25, of Claypool, Latasha Ibarra, 23, of Warsaw, and Madison May, 18, of Warsaw, were transported to a Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition.
