ROCKFORD, IL : 2 injured when car crashes into house in northwest Rockford at 3527 N. Court Street on Saturday, 29th December 2018

Talk about a rude awakening.

Eric and Lisa Honkamp and their two teenage daughters were sound asleep early Saturday morning when an SUV crashed into the front of their house at 3527 N. Court St.

The front of the vehicle, a gold Saturn Outlook, wound up in the living room of the single story brick home at about 1:45 a.m.

“At first, my husband thought that it was a clap of thunder,” Lisa Honkamp said. “My daughter thought that as well.”

The family was shaken but is otherwise OK.
