Sacramento, CA : A Boca Raton man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, September 2, 2017
A Boca Raton man was killed in a motorcycle crash near Yamato Road on Interstate 95 on Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Kevin Scheinberg, 36, of Boca Raton, was riding a motorcycle north on I-95 when a car struck him while it was changing lanes, said highway patrol spokesman Mark Wysocky.
Scheinberg was thrown into the roadway. He was pronounced dead at Delray Medical Center.
The car, described as possibly a dark Chrysler 200, left the scene. The car may have minor damage to the right side, Wysocky said.
“I can’t imagine how someone could hit someone and just drive off,” said Scheinberg’s sister, Jessica “Sonny” Scheinberg. “This wasn’t just some guy on a motorcycle; this was a man with a golden heart.”
Scheinberg was born in New York and was the second of four children, his sister said. He recently moved to Boca from California and was “really excited about it.” his sister recalled.
Jessica Scheinberg said her brother had a knack for fixing computers and always went out of his way to help out strangers.
