Johnstown, PA : Two people with serious injuries following a crash on Friday, July 14, 2017
Rescue personnel assisted two people with serious injuries following a crash with a tree on Park Street Friday night. Police reported four young women, most from Franklin, had been riding in a Honda Accord when it jumped the curb and hit a tree at about 8:31 p.m. The Blackstone and Bellingham rescues responded to the scene, as did two rescue units from Woonsocket. A LifeFlight helicopter was requested but could not respond due to weather conditions, according to police.
At least one of the victims had to be freed from the vehicle with power rescue equipment. Police reported two of the occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No charges were filed in connection with the accident, police said.
