A woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car on Saturday.

The accident happened in the 6900 block of Winchester Road.

A police officer conducting a traffic stop observed a woman walk into traffic and get hit by a car.

The driver of the car told police the light was green. The woman walked in front of her car and she was unable to stop in time.

The woman was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

No one has been arrested at this time.
