Bertrand,NE : I-80 crash kills Bertrand man near Darr interchange on December, Wednesday 20th 2017

A fatal crash Wednesday morning claimed the life of a Bertrand man.

According to Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas, a semi-truck carrying liquid animal feed was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 near the Darr interchange when the driver reportedly moved to the outer lane to accommodate a vehicle merging onto the interstate.

The wheels of the tanker left the road and the driver’s attempt to bring the truck back onto the road led to the truck rolling. It came to rest in the north ditch of the westbound lanes.

The accident occurred at about 9:20 a.m. at mile marker 230 on I-80.
