A 55-year-old man died early Thursday in single-vehicle wreck on Ala. 165, eight miles north of Eufaula, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Willie James Woods of Eufaula died when the 2011 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree in Opelika around 4:11 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
