A Cary man was injured in a rollover crash Tuesday evening.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to Route 14 and West Cuba Road about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday.
A preliminary investigation found that a 43-year-old man from Cary was driving south on Route 14 in a Mercedes SUV when a Lexus SUV collided with the Mercedes, Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christopher Covelli said.
The driver of the Lexus, a 76-year-old Barrington Hills man, was traveling east on Cuba Road and tried to cross the road at Route 14 when he hit the Mercedes. He said he didn’t see the vehicle, Covelli said.
The Cary man suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and he was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
No citations have been issued, but the investigation is ongoing.
