Montgomery, AL : 66-year-old man dies in Jackson County crash Friday morning on Friday, January 27th 2017
A Jackson County man died in a crash Friday morning near Scottsboro.
According to Trooper Curtis Summerville, Robert Warren Lapp was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima when the car left the roadway and hit a tree.
Lapp was taken to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The 66- year-old was not using a seat belt, Summerville said.
The incident happened on Jackson County 119, five miles west of Scottsboro, at approximately 9:45 a.m. Friday.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
