Abbeville County , SC: One man killed in crash While he made a left turn and was struck by an oncoming pickup truck at Highway 252 on Saturday night ,january 17th 2015

The Abbeville County Coroner said a Ware Shoals man was killed in a crash about a mile from his home Saturday night.

The crash happened on Turkey Creek Road at Highway 252 just before 6 p.m..

Coroner Ronnie Ashley said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Claude Andrew Brock of Turkey Creek Road was pronounced dead at the scene, Ashley said.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said Brock was heading south on Turkey Creek Road in his 1990 Chevy pickup when he made a left turn and was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.

The driver in the other pickup was injured in the crash and airlifted to the hospital, troopers said.

Troopers said the second pickup also struck another vehicle that was traveling behind Brock's vehicle. A driver and passenger in that car were not hurt.

Ashley said an autopsy had been scheduled to help determine Brock's cause of death.
