Naches, WA : Two people injured after a Motorcycle vs. pickup collision on U.S. 12 near Naches on Sunday, July 31, 2016

Two people were hospitalized Sunday after a collision between a pickup and a motorcycle west of Naches, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Dale Robinson, 66, of Olympia, was on his 2001 Harley Davidson heading west on U.S. Highway 12 about 19 miles west of Naches at about 11:30 Sunday morning, the state patrol report said.

He slowed for traffic near milepost 168, crossed the center line, and collided with Ward Pruett, 55, of Connell, who was driving eastbound in his 2002 GMC pickup.

Robinson and his passenger, Marie Grant Robinson, 78, were injured and taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where staff said they were treated and released.

Pruett was not injured. The motorcycle and the truck were damaged and towed.

The state patrol report cited the cause of the crash as Robinson's crossing the center line, for which troopers recommended charges.
