Saint Paul, MN : Hutchinson student hit by car, taken to hospital on Friday, January, 97th 2018

A Hutchinson High School student was hit by a car Friday morning while crossing the street at the intersection of Roberts Road Southwest and Stony Point Road Southwest.

According to the Hutchinson Police Department, the crash happened at 7:28 a.m. when a 17-year-old girl driving a Chevy Cruze hit 17-year-old Brandon Leung, who was using the pedestrian crossing.

Hutchinson police and Allina EMS responded to the crash. Leung was taken to Hutchinson Health with non-life threatening injuries, and the driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
