Reyno, AR : Semi-truck driver arrested after fleeing from Randolph County on Saturday, June 11, 2016
The Randolph County Sheriff's Department arrested a Little Rock man Saturday after he fled from police in a semi-truck.
According to Sheriff Gary Tribble, he saw an 18-wheeler pulling double trailers driving recklessly on Highway 67 in Reyno.
The sheriff tried to stop the truck that was swerving between the lanes and shoulder, but the driver would not stop.
Tribble said he chased the truck for about 8 miles into Clay County where Corning police, Clay County sheriff’s deputies and Arkansas State Police Troopers assisted in stopping the semi.
Melvin Proctor, 52, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, fleeing and reckless driving.
