Vienna, MO : Belle man killed in Maries County car crash on Sunday morning, January 11, 2015

A Belle man was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning in Maries County after being ejected from the vehicle.
Carl F. Glenn, 51, died after the 1996 Chevrolet Lumina he was driving eastbound on Highway C, 6 miles southeast of Belle, ran off the left side of the road and overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
That's when Glenn was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center by an air ambulance. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Glenn was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol stated. The crash occurred around 2:56 a.m.
The vehicle was totaled.
This is the first traffic fatality reported this year in the Troop I region, which takes in Maries and five other south central Missouri counties.
