BOTETOURT COUNTY, VA : Crash shuts down eastbound lanes on Blue Ridge Blvd on Wednesday, 8th May 2024

Virginia State Police reported a 69-year-old man died during the crash involving a tractor-trailer on US-460 in Botetourt County.

According to VSP, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer entered US-460 from Healing Springs Road allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way, and attempted to cross both lanes of travel. The vehicle was struck by a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer traveling east on US-460, which caused the tractor-trailer to overturn.
