St. Albans, VT : Man injured in a crash between car and ATV on Swanton Road Monday, Sep 28, 2015

A man was hospitalized following a crash between a car and an ATV in St. Albans Monday.

An ATV was headed eastbound on Swanton Road around 9 p.m. when a car exiting Burger King pulled out and hit the ATV.

Police say the ATV was exceeding the speed limit at the time of the crash.

The driver was thrown from the ATV and taken to the hospital. No word yet on his condition.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Beer cans were found at the scene, but police say they are unsure if alcohol was a factor.
