ANDOVER, MA : 4 injured in I-93 crash on Friday, 23rd November 2018

Four people, including a 5-year-old boy, were seriously injured in a two-car crash on Friday afternoon that shut Interstate 93.

According to a release from Andover Fire Rescue, a car stopped in the breakdown lane of I-93 northbound near River Road was struck by another car just after 3 p.m. The impact sent the parked car across the highway, into the far left travel lane.

The passengers in the parked car, a mother and 5-year old son, and two passengers in the moving vehicle were taken to Lawrence General Hospital by ambulance. The boy then was flown to a Boston hospital by medical helicopter.
