Tallahassee, FL : FHP identifies Fort Myers man in fatal crash on Sunday, 23rd February, 2020

The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of a motorcyclist who was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday.

Xavier Parson, 27, of Fort Myers, was driving a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX north on Summerlin Road north of Maple Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m. and exceeding the posted 45 mph speed limit.

The FHP said Parson failed to negotiate a right curve, struck the median curb and overturned.

As the motorcycle came to an stop in the median Parson was thrown.

The FHP report said Parson was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
