According to police, 23-year-old Jacob Jaramillo was traveling northbound on I-25 and entered the intersection despite having a red light signal.

His vehicle collided with a car traveling westbound on I-40 that had a green light.

Duran says the other car was carrying three people, all in their 20s. Two died at the scene and a third died at a hospital.
