St. Albans, VT : Driver critically injured in St. Albans crash on Friday morning, August 29, 2014

Police say the driver of a car that crashed in St. Albans town Friday morning is in critical condition. The car was headed west on Route 36 near the intersection of Rugg Road, when it went off the roadway and crashed into a clump of trees. Police say they had to first stabilize the vehicle before they could extricate the driver, who was traveling alone and was trapped inside. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
