SHREVEPORT, LA : 2 drivers dead following crash in north Caddo Parish on Friday, 27th September 2024

One of two drivers killed early Friday morning in a fiery two-vehicle crash has been identified.

The Caddo Parish coroner said Gavin Green, 31, of Hosston was killed when his vehicle collided head-on just before 7 a.m. with another vehicle in the 13800 block of U.S. Highway 71 near Interstate 49.

The second vehicle burst into flames, killing the driver. That person's identity is pending the results of forensic testing and will be released when that process is complete and next-of-kin notified.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
