Dewey, AZ : J.C. Adams, 65, died in fatal Highway 169 crash on Saturday morning, June 11, 2016

The Department of Public Safety has identified the drivers involved in a deadly crash on Highway 169 Saturday morning, June 11.

The crash happened at about 8 a.m., at milepost 5.8.

DPS Trooper Quentin Mehr said a car driven by J.C. Adams, 65, of Prescott, which was headed south on 169 crossed the center line “for an unknown reason,” and went into the northbound lane.

It struck a tractor-trailer head-on, and Adams was killed.

The truck’s driver, Diana Denison, 53, of Phoenix, was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

Highway 169 was shut down until about 1:25 p.m. while troopers investigated.
