Opelika, AL : A Phenix City man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday, July 24, 2017

A Phenix City man was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 8:41 a.m. Monday on U.S. 80 at the 208 mile marker, approximately three miles west of Phenix City.

James Jerome Allen, 73, was killed when the 2002 Ford Thunderbird he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Allen, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
