EAST PROVIDENCE, RI : East Providence crash backs up traffic on I-195 West on Friday, 22nd December 2023

A “crash with fire” on I-195 West caused significant traffic backups on the highway heading into Providence, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) said Friday.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in the area of Exit 2 in East Providence, according to RIDOT. There was still significant traffic on I-195 as of 1:30 p.m.
