Shelley, ID : 13-year-old boy struck, killed by car in southeast Idaho on Wednesday, December 2, 2015

A 13-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car while he was walking along a southeastern Idaho road.

That Steven Hinkle was struck Wednesday while walking in the westbound lane of 1300 North in Shelley.

Steven was taken to an Idaho Falls hospital where he died from his injuries. It is not clear why he was in the road.

The 18-year-old driver of the car was not hurt in the crash, which remains under investigation.
