No one was injured inside a Little Caesars restaurant when a red Dodge Ram pickup truck crashed inside Thursday morning.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. at the Little Caesars located at West Macclenny Avenue, according to officials with the Macclenny Fire Rescue.
Joey Dobson, Baker County Sheriff, said the Dodge Ram driven by 28-year-old Leland Jd. Ireland drove into the restaurant after hitting another vehicle, a 1996 Chevrolet car driven by 72-year-old Faye R. Raulerson.
The truck then drove into the store and came to rest up against the ovens. Ireland was taken to Baker Community Hospital with minor injuries, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Raulerson had no injuries.
J.P. Batiste is a barber at Everybody's Barber Shop nearby and he heard the crash.
"It sounded like accelerated, so I heard the acceleration then the big boom," said Batiste.
Ireland was charged with careless driving, according to the FHP report. Alcohol was not listed as a factor in the crash.
