St Paul, MN : No one injured in Crash after Bus hits SUV in downtown and SUV driver ticketed on Saturday night, January 3rd 2015
Metro Transit briefly shut down bus and light-rail traffic Saturday night in downtown St. Paul after a city bus collided with a Chevy Suburban whose driver reportedly ran a red light about 8:15 p.m.
A University of North Dakota college student was heading west on West Seventh Street and looking for a place to park when he ran a red light at Cedar Street and was struck by a southbound Route 67 bus.
No one was hurt. The driver of the Suburban was ticketed.
Bus and car traffic was rerouted for about a half hour, and all Green Line trains were stopped for several minutes so that a tow truck could haul away the SUV.
