Knoxville, TN : Man killed in Knox motorcycle crash on Wednesday, 19th October 2016
A man was killed Wednesday night when his motorcycle collided with a car in Northwest Knox County.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the motorcycle was traveling east on Oak Ridge Highway about 8 p.m. when it struck a Hyundai going west and then turned left onto Byington Solway Road.
The motorcycle slid into the sedan causing it to spin around and clip a Toyota 4-Runner, which was sitting at a stop sign, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the Honda Gold Wing was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he later died. No other injuries were reported.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, and the other drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of his family.
