FORT EDWARD ,NY : Motorcyclist injured in Route 4 crash on June, Wednesday 14th 2017

A Greenfield man was injured following a motorcycle crash Wednesday morning on State Route 4, according to police.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said Anthony Correa, 25, was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed, when he lost control and crashed just north of the rest area. The incident was reported to police at 8:37 a.m.

Deputies located Correra sitting in a ditch along the side of the road. He suffered a lower leg injury and abrasions to his back and was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by Fort Edward EMS, the news release said.

Witnesses reported to police that the operator passed them at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.

According to Washington County Sheriff's Office the crash remains under investigation and traffic violations are expected.

Deputies Cori Winch, Todd Riche and Sgt. Todd Lemery as well as Fort Edward Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
