Dubuque, IA : Tanker truck driver uninjured, cited after rollover crash in Key West on Friday, March 24th 2017

Authorities said a tanker truck driver was not injured when his vehicle went into a ditch and tipped on its side Friday afternoon in the Key West area.

The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. Friday on U.S. 52/61/151 near the intersection with Twin Valley Drive.

Russell L. McAllister, 33, of New Vienna, Iowa, was southbound on the highway when the traffic light at the Twin Valley intersection turned yellow, according to a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department report. McAllister told deputies that he braked hard and that the truck skidded into the ditch and overturned.

McAllister was cited with failure to maintain control of the vehicle.
