PROVIDENCE, RI : Two injured in Providence motorcycle accident on Tuesday, 12th September 2023

The Providence Police Department said that a motorcycle hit two pedestrians on Elmwood Avenue on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Lindsay Lague said that around 7 p.m. a car stopped to let a man and woman cross the street, when a speeding motorcycle hit the rear of the car, mounted the center median, and hit the pedestrians.

She added that the woman sustained minor injuries but the man was dragged by the motorcycle, which also caught fire.

The man sustained burns and an ankle injury.
