Ralls County, MO : 28-year-old Sarah Kurz dead after car struck a tree on Highway O in Ralls County on Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015

One woman is dead after a one-car crash Friday afternoon in Ralls County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sarah Kurz, 28, of New London, was killed after her car ran off of Highway O south of Hannibal.

Around 3 p.m., Kurz was not wearing a seatbelt when she ran off the road and hit a tree about one mile east of Hwy. 61, according to officials.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released information about what might have caused Kurz to run off the road.

The New London Fire Department and Ralls County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
