LE MARS, IA : 6 hurt in Plymouth County single-vehicle accident on Monday, January 2nd 2017

Six people were injured late Monday in a single-vehicle accident in rural Plymouth County.

According to the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at about 8 p.m. on County Road C38 west of Pioneer Avenue.Rescue personnel responding to the scene found a 1999 Chevy Suburban driven by Cynthia Watts, 40, of Remsen, Iowa, on its side. Four of the vehicle's occupants had gotten out of the vehicle, but two others had to be mechanically extricated. All six were taken to Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office said in a press release.

The accident's cause was not listed.
