A Lincoln car restorer has died after crashing at Junction Motor Speedway at McCool Junction on Saturday.
McCool and York rescue squads responded to the track at 7:24 p.m., according to the York County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities say Joe Haag died at a Lincoln hospital. Witnesses say Haag’s car collided with another during exhibition laps.
Operators of Junction Motor Speedway posted the following message on their website: “Today we offer our condolences to the friends and family of Joe Haag, an antique racer who lost his life last night due to injuries sustained in an accident that happened during exhibition hot laps with the antique racers. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.”
