A Joplin woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday on Route E, 5 miles east of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Kimberly M. Lapping, 38, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
Lapping was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road and struck a culvert when she fell asleep, the patrol said.
• A Neosho woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday on McClelland Boulevard, a mile south of Joplin in Newton County, the patrol said.
Chelsy M. Laster, 21, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West.
Laster was driving a westbound car that ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned, the patrol said.
• An Arkansas man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 90, 3 miles east of Southwest City in McDonald County, the patrol said.
John L. Aydelotte, 53, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, was taken by ambulance to Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, with minor injuries.
Aydelotte was driving an eastbound Chevrolet Blazer that struck a cow in the roadway, the patrol said.
• An Arkansas woman suffered minor injuries in the parking lot of the Walmart store in Jane in McDonald County, the patrol said.
Bessie R. Williams, 70, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
Williams was walking across the parking lot when a sport utility vehicle driven by Teddy D. Turner, 81, of Springdale, Arkansas, struck her, the patrol said.
