York, SC : Person killed, driver injured after vehicle flips in York County on Wednesday, March 25, 2015

One person was killed and a woman was injured in a vehicle accident in York County Wednesday, according to troopers.

The wreck happened around 1:30 p.m. on Black Highway near N. Beersheba Road in York. Officials 31-year-old Laura Beth Sanders, of Clover, was driving a 2002 Kia Sedona minivan when the vehicle ran off the road and hit an embankment.

Sanders and a passenger, identified as 48-year-old Alexander Bissett McConnell, were not wearing their seat belts and were both ejected from the vehicle.

McConnell, from Clover, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sanders was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. There is no word on her condition.

WBTV's Sky 3 was over the scene where the black minivan with heavy damage could be seen about 20 feet off the roadway. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Investigators have not said if any charges are being filed.
