Florence, SC : Motorcycle died in crash on Alligator road in Florence on Sunday night, October 6, 2016

A motorcycle crash on Alligator road in Florence leaves one person dead, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash happened Sunday night at 8:10 p.m. Highway Patrol troopers said two people were on the motorcycle and at some point they tried to make a turn when traveling west, then crashed into a car which was heading east. The impact threw both people off the bike.

The driver of the car was not injured and the second victim on the bike was taken to the hospital.

Highway Patrol said both motorcycle riders were not wearing a helmet.
