HOUSTON, TX : 2 HPD officers taken to hospital after crash in the 3500 block of Hutchins on Monday, 18th February 2019

Two Houston police officers were taken to the hospital after an hour-long pursuit in the Third Ward area overnight.

Police say officers tried to stop a vehicle in the 3500 block of Hutchins early Monday. The driver allegedly refused to stop and led police on a lengthy chase south of downtown.

One HPD unit in an SUV tried to perform a pit maneuver and crashed into a tree. The SUV then caught fire.
