LITTLE RIVER COUNTY, AR : Two people in Southwest Arkansas on Thursday, July 5th 2018

A crash on the Fourth of July afternoon took the lives of two people in Southwest Arkansas leaving several injured.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and Kaylee Drive in Ashdown.

Jimmy Moore, 79 was killed when his Toyota crossed the median and hit a GMC vehicle causing it to spin around, slamming it into a Chevrolet.

According to Arkansas State Police's Fatal Crash Summary, the weather was clear and the roads were dry.

Moore's passenger, a minor, was also killed in the accident.
