Youngstown, FL : Truck accident on U.S. 231 at the intersection with Camp Flowers Road on Saturday, 4th January, 2020

It wasn’t a dump truck but it did some dumping and as a result, part of U.S. Highway 231 in Bay County was partially closed for at least an hour Friday, authorities say.

The incident occurred on U.S. 231 at the intersection with Camp Flowers Road.

A Florida Highway Patrol press release says a 2013 Mack truck was heading south on 231 when another vehicle, possibly a white pickup pulling a trailer, turned west onto Camp Flowers in front of it.

The driver of the semi took evasive action and went into the median. His trailer, which was loaded with dirt, briefly overturned and dumped the dirt onto the southbound lanes of 231. Then the trailer righted itself.

The road was completely blocked for 30 minutes and partially blocked for an hour.
