BLANDFORD, MA : 1 Dead In Tractor-Trailer Pileup On Massachusetts Turnpike on Thursday, 21st February 2019

The man killed in an early-morning crash in the bad weather on the Massachusetts Turnpike on Thursday has been identified.

Robert Epps, 41, of Bronx, N.Y., died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after his box truck was hit by a tractor-trailer.

State Police say a tandem tractor-trailer lost control in the eastbound lanes and crashed into another tractor-trailer, a box truck and a pickup truck. It happened in Blandford in western Massachusetts around 2:40 a.m.Five people were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Four were treated for minor injuries.
