Dothan, AL : Dothan man dies in single-vehicle crash near Ashford on Tuesday, September 12, 2017

A Dothan man died Tuesday when the vehicle he was driving left the road near Ashford and struck a tree.

According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 53-year-old Timothy Paul Wilson was fatally injured when his 2014 Dodge Challenger left U.S. 84 near Old U.S. 84 just west of the Ashford city limits.

The accident occurred at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday. Wilson was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center where he died Wednesday.

No other information is available and Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
