Anaheim,CA : Pedestrian killed while walking on interstate identified on September, Sunday 10th 2017

California officials have identified the 28-year-old male pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking on the slow lane of Interstate 5 in Anaheim.

The Orange County Register reports (http://bit.ly/2wSvZdU ) the Orange County Coroner’s office identified the man killed Sunday as Orlando Vasquez Hernandez of Anaheim. California Highway Patrol says the 2005 Toyota Corolla was travelling at about 60 miles per hour when it struck Hernandez. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the male driver of the Corolla, who has not been identified, pulled over after the crash and waited for highway patrol for assistance.

Sgt. Pete Kim says the driver is not suspected of DUI.
